Call for volunteers for cover reveal for Reunion of the Heart!

Well this has certainly come around fast! I’m in the final stages of preparing to publish my second novel Reunion of the Heart.

To tell you a little bit more about it (without giving too much away!), it’s a romance and the story of a young woman who returns to her school for a reunion.  She finds that her life won’t be the same again…

I’m not gonna say any more about it because (obviously) I don’t want to give half the plot away.  But to cut to the chase, I need some volunteers to do the cover reveal for it.

I didn’t do one for my previous novel, The Inheritance.  To be honest I was learning the ropes – I still am but last year when I published it, I had no idea about cover reveals, so I simply shared the cover for it on Twitter.

This time around, having seen other people do it, I thought it would be a good way of generating some interest in my novel.

I’ve decided to do things differently in other ways too for the launch of Reunion of the Heart.  Last year when I published The Inheritance, I did a blog tour which I’ve decided I’m not going to do this time.  Organising and promoting the blog tour was a lot of work and while it was quite fun to do, I didn’t have a lot of people commenting on what I’d shared and it didn’t really seem to translate into sales.

So.  That was then and this is now.  I’m doing this cover reveal and I’m going to do some other promotions for Reunion of the Heart… Watch this space!

    1. Yeah I was actually really disappointed by the lack of interest in my blog tour having worked really hard on it. So this time around I’m kind of thinking ‘stuff that’ and I’ll do something that’s a bit less work and (hopefully) more effective. 🙂

      1. My issue was that I worked hard to divide the month or 2 weeks between people. Then people would fail to post or get the wrong day. So I’d have a ton on one day and nothing on another. Rather frustrating.

  2. Elaine! I think this is a good move, reveals are fun. Blog tours confuse me, I never follow those. But I always click to see a new cover even if I’m not a fan of the genre. Can’t wait to see the cover!:) Best of luck!!

    1. Thanks Chloe. I’m really excited about it. I think with cover reveals, for people who’re checking them out there’s less to read through. They can just click a button and have a look.

      BTW because I’m new to doing cover reveals, I was wondering if I share it myself on my blog on the day as well and/or if I share all the links to the other blogs that are doing it? If you know and could let me know that would be fab. 🙂

      1. When I did my cover reveals, I usually did them on the same day as others and then thanked anyone else who was doing it by linking to their blog with a line of thanks.

        Though it can help sometimes to have people spread out the posts. One of my blogger friends released my cover reveal a couple of days after my post, and it helped keep the hype going longer 🙂

        I’m no expert though! So, it’s pretty much do what you feel is right for you 😀
