Hi all. I’ve been thinking about getting into proofreading. I’ve had a bit of practice at it for myself and others, and think I have a talent for it.
I’m thinking that to start off with I’d proofread a couple of manuscripts for free so that people can see what they think of my skills and go from there.

Thanks so much for the interest! I’ve had a couple of other positive responses, and I don’t feel able to do them all at once, not at this stage anyway. How much I’m free depends on when their manuscripts are ready for me to look at really. How far along with yours are you? 🙂

Not far enough. I was hoping to be ready to publish in August, but it’s not happening. I have too many household projects, weeds to pull, and general kid-raising stuff going on to put that much time into editing.:-/ Writing I can do while I’m out and about. Editing, not so much. Honestly, I don’t really expect you to still be offering free proofreads by the time I’m done. 🙂
